OVERNIGHT FIELD TRIPS
Each year, Portola MPA offers overnight field trips for our students over a weekend during the school year. Past trips have included Pali Camp, Astrocamp, and California Island Marine Institute. Please be aware that these are optional trips organized by the Magnet Parents Association, not LAUSD. Cost of the trip covers camp fee, insurance, and transportation from/to Portola Middle School, TBD per student.
In previous years, 8th grade students have been offered the opportunity to go on a field trip to Washington, D.C., Gettysburg, VA, and Hershey, PA, organized by WorldStrides.
