OVERNIGHT FIELD TRIPS
Each year, Portola MPA overnight field trips for our students over the Veteran's Day weekend. The following trip are being planned for the 2019-2020 school year. Please be aware that this trip is being organized by the Magnet Parents Association, not LAUSD and no teachers from the magnet are attending this trip. Cost of the trip covers camp fee, insurance and transportation from / to Portola Middle School..

- 6th Grade Catalina Island Marine Institute (Toyon Bay) - November 8 - 10, 2019
- 7th Grade AstroCamp - November 8 - 10, 2019
- 8th Grade W.O.L.F. Camp at Camp Whittier - November 9 - 11, 2019
Please submit camp fee balance and chaperone fee via PayPal by October 17, 2019.
If you are paying by check, please make check payable to "Portola MPA" and submit the check to the Magnet office. You must include your child's name and the name of the camp she/he is attending.
The following payment method allows you to enter any amount for Overnight Camps. You can use this if your balance due is not one of the standard ones above.
WASHINGTON DC TRIP
A trip to Washington DC and Gettysburg, and Hershey Pennsylvania for 7th and 8th Graders is being organized by WorldStrides and will take place over spring break of 2020 with Mr. Goldstein accompanying the students.
